The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested a suspect in the death of Meraxes Medina, the trans woman who was shot and killed in South LA last month. The suspect has been charged with felony murder and is currently being held on $3 million bail. “The pain and sorrow felt by Meraxes’ family and friends are profound, and our hearts go out to them during this unimaginably difficult time. As we move forward in this legal process, we’re here to help answer questions. We stand together in support of Meraxes’ memory and the pursuit of justice,” the Los Angeles District Attorney said in a statement on the case.
