Join Generation Forward for a banana bread bake-along! This hour-long session
‘Tis the season… to learn to bake! Have you ever wondered why your loaf is too dense or tough? How do you measure ingredients? Why do you pack sugar but fluff flour during measurements?
Whether you are an expert baker or new to the art and science of baking, we will spend some time talking about baking best practices and ways to make a fool-proof banana bread. This recipe is easy to make suitable for a vegan and/or gluten-free home! You will need the following ingredients, an oven (convection/small toaster oven will work!), measuring spoons/cups, and one standard loaf pan (about 9x5ish).
Before finding her dream job working on the development team at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, our Membership Associate Kimberly worked as an assistant baker and manager at Blue Chair Bakery. She has also worked at Sprinkles Cupcakes and Side Car Doughnuts. She is still an avid baker, spending most of her free time under #SaferAtHome making sourdough loaves and desserts.
Please RSVP so that we can send you a private Zoom link 30 minutes before the event start time.
COVID-19 disproportionately impacts our Center family – seniors, housing insecure youth and immunosuppressed community members depend on us. This is a call to action to join and spread the word about our CARE Fund.
