Vote in Person

COVID-19 Information for Voting In-Person:

  • Voters should wear a face covering while at the vote center or waiting in line.

  • Face masks and gloves will be available for voters if requested.

  • Use hand sanitizer before approaching the check-in station and after voting. Hand sanitizer will be provided upon entry and exit of the Vote Center.

  • Social distancing will be enforced while waiting in line and throughout the check-in and voting process.

  • ePollbooks and Ballot Marking devices will be sanitized after every voter.

  • Voters are encouraged to take advantage of Voting Center off-peak times if possible.

What’s At Stake

So much is at stake for LGBTQ people in this election, including several state propositions in California and local measures in Los Angeles. The Center is recommending:

CALIFORNIA PROPOSITIONS

PROPOSITION 15: YES – Use of commercial property taxes for schools and communities

PROPOSITION 16: YES – Remove the ban on Affirmative Action

PROPOSITION 17: YES – Restore voting rights to parolees

PROPOSITION 18: YES – Extend voting rights to 17-year-olds for primaries

PROPOSITION 20: NO – Don’t increase harsher sentences for misdemeanors

PROPOSITION 21: YES – Local rent control initiative

LOS ANGELES COUNTY

MEASURE J: YES – Increased community-based programs and alternatives to incarceration in Los Angeles

Register to Vote by Monday, October 19
