Los Angeles LGBT Center Hosts Pride Picnic, a Celebration of Joy and Community at Hollywood Forever on June 26

By on June 22, 2022 Community

As Pride Month comes to a close, the Los Angeles LGBT Center will again host “Pride Picnic,” an old-fashioned community party that brings together the LGBTQ family and our allies to eat, drink, and be merry at the beautiful Hollywood Forever on June 26 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Benefiting the Center’s programs and services, this fun summer night features picnic space outdoors on the Fairbanks Lawn of Hollywood Forever, tunes by DJ Nico Craig, drag performances by Amber Crane and Lauren Banall, and vogue performances from Chauncey Dominique! For the youngsters—and the young at heart—there will be crafting stations and lawn games. There will be free swag from our sponsors and a free photo booth to commemorate the good times!

Attendees can bring their own picnic fare (and libations!) or they can purchase food and drink from some of the best food trucks in Los Angeles. Admission is $25; children aged 5 and under are free, no ticket required.

“This is a true celebration of, by, and for our community,” said the Center’s Director of Special Events Tui Lyon. “At last year’s picnic, more than a thousand people joined in the fun. Everywhere I turned, people were laughing and smiling. There was a true sense of joy and I can’t wait to experience that jubilation once again.”

Bring your family and friends, your blanket, picnic basket, and comfortable shoes and prepare to have the time of your life!
