Griffin, who currently stars in the documentary Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story, says she is honored to be a part of the epic show.

“Not only will we be raising funds for social services and housing of homeless LGBT youth, we’ll also be shining a light on the last FIFTY years of outreach this organization has supplied to Los Angeles,” the two-time Emmy and Grammy winner wrote on Instagram.

“When I moved to this city around 40 years ago, the LGBT Center was already doing incredible things,” Griffin added. “I was lucky enough to perform multiple one-woman shows over the years as a way to help give attention to, at the time, a very marginalized group. In 2019, we’ve come a LONG way, but that doesn’t mean our work is done! There are still many LGBT kids without a home, living on the street, in need of our love and support.”

Herndon described himself as “so honored” to be a part of the evening.

“I’m secretly hoping that Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin will take me on a date!” he joked on Instagram.
